Oh dang,

Well this is another big mark, the 2 months 30 days mark. No more 3 Months... eek..  So excited!!

well -- things seem to be working out. we are just bursting with excitement!! money is being made & saved at a crazy pace and friends are helping us out with planning & support. we seem to be setting down a more laid out plan. [though we aren't doing too much planning, can't ruin the adventure!!] a basic look at what we're thinking is ireland, down through france & spain to morocco, back up through south france to italy, & over toward greece & turkey. of course there are a few places i'd like to see other than that, slovenia, croatia, etc. so we may stray from that or head north a bit before going south into italy. but like i said, can't plan too much or we'll ruin the adventure. i'm so excited just thinking about it. this is going to be the greatest time of our lives. and it's just around the corner!! 3 months & 4 days today. 

on top of all that, god has been providing so so incredibly much. we have had all the work [and then some!!] that we could possibly need to purchase what we need & save for the trip. though finding time to see each other anytime other than the last couple hours of each day is tough, we know the work is a blessing & are so very thankful. it seems like things just work out perfectly each & everytime. so praise god, he has his hand in this, we both know definitely know that! 

i've been looking at ways to volunteer & give while we're out. there are going to be opportunities for us to work in orphanages, schools, churches, etc. i think of anything, THAT is what i most look forward to. i pray that god will guide us while we're out to places where we can contribute, grow, & make relationships as well as spread the word & volunteer. he knows who he is sending out & we are both more than eager to go out in this world & do his whatever his will may be in our lives.

support is way welcomed of course also. i think josh has mentioned this, but people love to live vicariously. give out our blog address/myspace, we will keep it updated, especially when we leave, & we have a donate button which is connected to our paypal account. even $5 will pay for a meal, a tube of toothpaste/shampoo, even our hostel for a night. anything is so unbelievably appreciated. so spread the word!!

there will prob be no Chaco's, whether sandals or belts or any other form of clothing, on this trip.. if anything happens because we dont have Chacs then I guess it will have to happen.. ..

So here is another update.. 

3 months and 9 days... almost 10 days but who's really counting

Just seeing that Aer Lingus plane les posted made me so just want to go to the airport. You know how it is.. you step inside and you wait and wait and wait. and then you get on this big plane and when you get off you not in Kansas anymore.. you end up somewhere new!!! I can't wait to end up in Chicago and hang out for a lil before we fly out to Ireland and begin whatever adventure and travel awaits us.

You all have so many questions and what ifs..  here are some answers..

- We do not know how long we will be gone.. we are ok with a month and we are ok with a year.. it just depends on how we feel, how much money we have, if we work, if we stay somewhere, etc.. 

- We do not know where all we are traveling.. we are definitely starting in Ireland, then prob UK then basically where the wind takes us.. were trying to take after Tony and Maureen Wheeler(read the book Unlikely Destinations)

- We do not know where we are going to stay, eat, etc. We have a small lightweight tent if need be.. there are always hostels.. people are very friendly and open around the world.. maybe we will even get ourselves thrown in jail for so shelter and food.. 

- What if we hate each other? What if we go broke? What if I break my leg? What if a koala eats all our clothes? Oh really people.. lets worry about these things when they happen.

- Isn't it going to be cold?.. You guys will not make it!  Oh really, cuz NO ONE else has lived anywhere in the world yet.. we are not going to the moon.. there will be clothes to fit the climate.. there will be food... there will be shampoo and toiletries.. people..

- What about the economy? Well sucks for all of you.. yes our economy is in a right state.. but we have decided that we can not wait anymore.. there is ALWAYS a reason not to do the things you want and that God has placed a desire on your heart... my house burned down.. my dad had cancer.. school... work..  people get married... if we were to not do everything cuz there was a reason we would never do anything. Ben Stein just said that we will never go into a depression even close to like it did in the 20s and we should be more stable next year and should be almost fine in about 4... be smart people quit buying shit on credit.. quit buying plasma tvs and expensive laptops.. I learned the hard way this year and am so much wiser.. we as Americans are so stupid.. so yes the economy is not the greatest but there are many people in our lives.. a much older teacher, bosses, youth leaders, friends etc who if it was a stupid idea to travel, 60 yr young Elementary school teacher Carol, who has traveled the world over and still does, would have said not too.. she really knows her stuff and thinks that its an excellent idea and she is even helping us out. 

on a happier note we are both so excited and have almost all our gear and are so ready to ROLL! WOO!

So today we purchased our tickets to Dublin, Ireland. 

We officially leave January, Twentieth, Two-thousand and Nine.

WOOOOO WOOOOOO(for dan)

We shall start our journey there and are definitely so super stoked to be going. Wish us the best of luck and continue to pray. Thanks Everyone
